“Yext has laid a solid foundation in the public sector, having established impressive confidence and credibility in helping the WHO and the US State Department provide accurate information on COVID during the pandemic,” Cook said. “I look forward to building on this foundation and building a team dedicated to unleashing the full potential of Yext’s AI research platform in an industry where it can truly make an impact.”
Prior to joining Yext, Cook was Vice President of Public Sector at Blue Prism, where she was responsible for leading a sales team and alliances in the robotic process automation (RPA) market. Previously, she was Director of Federal Civil Sales for the Commerce Department at SAS Institute, an analysis software company, as well as Director of Federal Civil Sales at LexisNexis.
Cook’s impressive work in the public sector has also earned him ten Federal Sales Leadership Awards over the past 12 years, including a FedScoop 50 Award for Industry Leadership.
“We are delighted that LC is joining Yext as the inaugural Senior Vice President of the Public Sector,” said Brian Distelburger, co-founder, president and COO of Yext. “His unmatched energy, in-depth knowledge of the industry, and appreciation for the impact AI research technology can have will be critical to our success in serving the public sector. “
Yext (NYSE: YEXT) is the AI research company with a mission to transform business with AI research.
With the explosion of information and data online, research has never been more important. However, while the world of consumer research has innovated over time, business research has not. In fact, the majority of business research is powered by outdated keyword research technology that only searches for keywords and provides a list of hyperlinks rather than actually answering questions.
Yext, AI Search Company, offers a modern AI-powered answers platform that understands natural language so that when people ask about a business online, they get direct answers, not links.
Brands like Verizon, Vanguard, Subway, and Marriott, along with organizations like the US State Department and the World Health Organization, trust Yext to dramatically improve their business through AI-powered research.
