Tulane’s School of Professional Advancement is currently accepting applications for its new online Master of Public Administration program, starting in fall 2020.
The Tulane Career Promotion School (SoPA) is accepting applications for its first cohort from fall 2020 for its new Masters program in public administration (AMP). The program is one of the few newly developed MPAs launched over the past three decades and directly addresses current civic issues. Applications are currently accepted and the deadline for the fall semester is August 15th.
“As we launch a new MPA amid unprecedented global challenges, we see first-hand the importance of effective civic leadership,” said Halima Escape François, program director and practice professor for the public administration program. “Preparing civic sector professionals who can successfully navigate today’s complexities and uncertainties is at the heart of our program. I am thrilled to launch an MPA program that is shaping up to be a tremendous resource locally and nationally, and look forward to working with faculty, staff, students and community partners to help strengthen the much needed civic leadership skills.

The program addresses the real-world challenges facing today’s civic sector leaders, including optimizing the use of data and technology, successful participation of various constituents, and effective work within the community. government, non-profit organizations and the private sector. The program helps students prepare for various career paths and is aimed at early and mid-career professionals, as well as recent university graduates.
