At NC Cooperative Extension, 4-H Youth Development strives to equip young people with the knowledge and skills they need to become successful adults. Effective communication and public speaking skills are vital for young people as they become the leaders of tomorrow. The 2021 district and state competition was held virtually, so contestants mastered several new technologies to prepare and deliver their 5-12 minute presentation for judging.

This annual public speaking competition is open to all youth in Currituck County. For more information on this or any other 4-H program, contact the 4-H and Youth Development Officer, Sherry Fischlschweiger at 252-232-2262.
