HARTINGTON – Northeast Community College’s Workforce Development Office offers a range of career opportunities in Hartington to ensure employees have up-to-date training, which is critical to the success of any career plan. ‘business. Becoming a Northeast Nebraska Workforce Partner will allow business owners and supervisors to get a leg up on the competition by maximizing their training investment.

In this joint effort provided by the City of Hartington and Northeast Community College, the training will provide business leaders and staff with opportunities for personal and professional growth close to home.

The next class, Getting to Know Public Speaking, will be held Thursday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Hartington Public Library, 106 S. Broadway Ave.

Public speaking is a common point of anxiety for people despite the fact that we do it every day. When people strike up a conversation outside their home, they are speaking in public, whether it is a one-on-one conversation or a presentation in front of 100 people. This session will describe how to create comfort with impromptu and prepared presentations. Time will also be spent on strategies to reduce anxiety and increase confidence.
