Public speaking is not easy for all leaders, but you have to overcome the fear factor if you plan to represent a company. By focusing on your passion for business, sharing authentically, and continuing to practice in front of a room full of people every chance you get, you’ll become a pro in time.

All the C-level executives and department heads have already been there, including experts from the board of directors of Fast Company. Below, they offer practical advice on how to overcome the hurdle of anxiety when speaking in public.

1. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.

Practice, practice, practice until you see your dream message, brand, and key content. Be authentic as a leader. Don’t try to adopt a communication style that is unnatural.
