The program includes the following events and opportunities:

  • In-Person ‘Evening with the Experts’ Event – A panel of the industry’s top experts, hosted and hosted by AWS, will share tips, advice, personal stories, resources and more. The panel will be followed by a presentation by a leading CIO from the public sector. The evening will feature a networking mixer, with organized “quick networking” and “quick recruit” events.
  • Mentorship Program for Public Sector Employees and Executives – A six-month guided mentoring program will connect experienced public sector executives with the next generation of talent looking to advance their careers, ask questions, ask for advice and more. Mentors will come from AWS and AWS Partner Network (APN) for Public Sector Partners leaders. The Moderate Mentorship Program will also include monthly speakers from leading and emerging voices in the space.
  • Next Gen Public Sector Technology Webinar – This virtual event will feature subject matter experts sharing personal stories about using the latest technology to solve public sector challenges. Led by a senior AWS technical expert, this webinar will present examples of emerging technologies improving security and citizen services.
  • Public Sector Widget on Girls in Tech Job Board – Girls in Tech will add a unique “Public Sector” widget to its popular job board to allow those looking for a career in the field to find out more about the opportunities immediate employment. AWS will help advertise applicable vacancies on the job site.
