Public Sector Solutions Cup attendees were tasked with creating new solutions that support compelling and marketable use cases in the public sector market. Hackathon judges included Christine Halvorsen, Sr. Technical Program Manager, Mission Acceleration Team at AWS; Andrea Leichtman, research director at G2Xchange; Tom suder, founder and CEO of the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center; and a panel of Appian executives. The winning teams received funding for co-marketing, promoting their solution at the Appian government conference, and promoting their solution on the Appian Application Marketplace. The winners of the Appian 2021 Public Sector Solution Cup are:

  • First place: iShift, for its Audit and inspection management system which allows each agency to streamline work and audits, improve efficiency / transparency and speed up the mission of the Office of Inspector General.
  • Second place: Ignyte, for his Occupational health center solution that helps agencies take better care of our country’s public servants and maximize the readiness of their workforce to accomplish its vital mission.
  • Third Place: ICF, for its financial review platform that provides efficiency and effectiveness throughout the financial review process.

Price of the transformationDeloitte

This award recognizes speed of delivery, excellence and customer satisfaction. Groundswell wins, for the second year in a row, for its success in leveraging the Appian Low-Code platform for rapid delivery of customer value. Groundswell has implemented several Appian go-to-market solutions in the public sector that have maximized value for customers.

Innovation award – IEM
This award recognizes IEM’s outstanding achievements in creating and delivering innovative Appian-based solutions to meet the needs of emerging markets, including the release of three grant management applications.

Trusted Delivery RewardCIF
This award recognizes ICF for consistently delivering transformational value at scale and significantly developing its Appian practice. The company owns one of the largest Appian firms and has successfully delivered many large Appian federal implementations. ICF is currently releasing Appian go-to-market solutions for grant management, bank reviews, and other use cases.

Emerging Partner of the
This award recognizes’s exceptional commitment, investment and collaborative approach in its partnership with Appian. These are all early indicators of a future partnership that will bring great value to public sector organizations.
